COMPLETE YOUR SURVEYS BY MARCH 24.
Let your voices be heard by filling out the survey. You should have received in your children's bag pack a very important survey form. In 2016, 74% of parents and guardians at PS 111 (or 222 responses in total) filled out the survey. The city wide average is 51%. Let’s do better this year.
Please visit http://schools.nyc.gov/Accountability/tools/survey/default.htm to find out more about why the survey is important for our children's education.
The PTA encourages you all to fill out the survey online by clicking:

P.S. 111 is an economically diverse school and every donation counts towards bringing more resources to our children. We are asking that every family give $111.00 or more if you can to our Annual Direct Appeal Campaign. Our goal is to raise $111 x 300 families = $33,300 through direct appeal. If you are not able to give $111.00 considering giving an amount that is comfortable for your family.
Where does your money go? In addition to supporting our current programs, our goal for additional funds raised would support the following:
* Class Room Air Conditioners
* Chess Program
* Teacher Professional Development
* Coding Program
* Foreign Language
* Recess Clubs
Because the PTA is an exempt not-for-profit organization, your contribution would be tax-deductible. Thank you.
UPDATE: As of May 26, 2017, parents and guardians have contributed to our direct appeal in the amount of $10,000. Thank you very much.
We need your time too!
What's 525,600 minus 60?
“Today, be aware of how you are spending your 1,440 beautiful moments and spend them wisely.” -- Anonymous
We each have 1,440 minutes a day, 10,080 minutes a week, over 43,000 a month, and 525,600 a year.
What if every parent and guardian gave just 60 of those beautiful moments to our school each year? Just one hour in a year. That would still leave you 525,540 minutes to spend elsewhere.
It takes a LOT of parent-power to help make PS 111 the wonderful school it is, and we need your help. If each of us stepped up for just one event each year, the students would benefit greatly. In the classroom or the cafeteria; on field trips or at home; midday or midnight -- there is a role that will work for you. Whether you’re a working parent, a stay-at-home parent, or something in between; a mom or a dad or a guardian; someone who’s never volunteered before or someone who volunteers regularly, you have something to contribute.
Contact any of us at the email on the left, and we'll help you find the perfect match. We need you and a tiny portion of your minutes.
